HELP!

I know there are not too many of you who read this thing.. but I need your help. I'm attempting to make my blog wonderful.

I NEED A NEW TITLE!

So, I have created some drafts of headings that I could possibly use.

all I need you to do is leave a comment telling me which one is your favorite! :)

Or tell me they suck if you think that they all do. Be honest.

This first one is inspired by Regina Spektor. I love Regina Spektor so so so much. SO MUCH.

"This is how it works: You peer inside yourself. You take the things you like and try to love the things you took. And then you take that love you made and stick it into some, someone else's heart, pumping someone else's blood." ♥♥

Inspired by my favorite color. I love purple. AND VIOLETS ARE NOT BLUE. Okay, some are.. but Violet is PURPLE.

I am a physics major... enough said.

Also, since I love peanut butter so much I thought that I could come up with something catchy using peanut butter. Like "The Peanut Butter asdkfjas;lkdjfiwer;lj." Oh gosh that is super lame. HELP ME.

&&& Remember these are DRAFTS

Share your thoughts.

suggestions???

Please!

Easter Festivities

Happy Anniversary of my Baptism!! :)

Also, happy Family Reunion/HUGE Easter Party.

This is Jalyn Johnson. We are friends at college.
& apparently we're second cousins as well.
SURPRISE!

This is my cousin Addison.
I knew she was my cousin.
Isn't she just adorable?

This is Cragun.
We got money in our Easter Eggs.
He's going on a mission soon.
Oh, I knew that he was my cousin before our family party.

The BLUE bathroom. Seriously, EVERYTHING is blue.
Even the toilet paper,

I love my family.
We all look so grown up.
& beautiful.
I have such an attractive family.

Easter Sunday

What a beautiful day.

We went to church. ♥

We tie-dyed some pretty eggs.

We hunted for some candy.

we watched a movie
and we spent time as a family.

I love my family so much. I do not know what I would do without them.

I also love my religion.

I love the Easter season and that we are able to take the time to reflect on our Savior's life and also his death which so fully includes the Atonement. Although we should celebrate it always, I love that we have set aside a holiday and an entire season to recognize the magnificence of the Atonement and of the Resurrection. I know that someday, we will all be Resurrected and made perfect and that it is through the Atonement that this is possible.  I also know that we will be able to live with our families for forever and that we will be with Him again.

I am so blessed.

Happy Easter.

Corb & Jake visit Logan

Wednesday April 4, 2012

I spent most of the day with Rachel because she is trying out for Aggiettes on Friday and Saturday and I have been helping her get ready! Also, she came over before my A-Team class because we were going to go shopping, but she ended up yelling at my roommates and I had to go to class, so we just talked for a while.

After class, Rach came and picked me up and we went to her house to practice. They were giving people free Zepes in the Lundstrom building, so we went and got some and we did a little Zumba while we were there. Then we went outside to practice but it was cold so we ended up going inside and practicing. We got hungry and tired after a while, so Rachel made some yummy pasta with shrimp!

Corbin and Jake decided to come up to Logan to party with me! Woot Woot! So since I was at Rachel's, I had them come there. Also, I left my keys at my house and I was too scared to call my roommates to let me in so I decided that I would wait until Britlyn got home.

We were going to go to the 90's party at the Alumni house, so I had Corbin take me home so that we could get ready. Luckily the door was unlocked! We got ready super fast, but the boys got up here way too late and the party was pretty much over, so I just ended up giving them a shortened campus tour. Then we went to Betos with Rachel and her friends...

I had class on Thursday morning, so we set up my computer and watched Mr. Deeds on Netflix because the only movies I have here are chick flicks and Disney movies. We set up mats in my living room and I slept on the floor, so did Corbin and Jake slept on the couch.

Thursday April 5, 2012

We woke up at 8:00 and I got ready for school. Corbin dropped Britlyn and I off by the Engineering building and he and Jake went shopping somewhere. After my English class, I had the boys come pick me up and we took the car back home. Then I took them to STATS 1040 with me

We came home after Physics and everyone fell asleep.

I guess college is really exhausting.

Today when we were in the Hub, Corbin noticed a poster advertising the Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog play.

We had to go.

Harrison got a souvenir.

It was a part of the "we do the weird stuff" line of the song.

This guy played Moist.
He did a great job.

In True Aggie fashion, naturally we had to clean the sink.

When I got home, this was waiting for me on my doorstep.
Thank you, kind person.

The cookies were super yum.

I slept on the couch because after the boys left, I went and did homework with Harrison.

When Britlyn woke up, she came downstairs and we just were chatting.

I was about to go get ready for school when B decided to feed Dumpy.

He was dead. :'(

We had a long period of mourning.

I skipped school because I was so sad.

We were such awful parents.

BUT he was fine on Thursday!

Corbin and Jake even were playing with him and he seemed perfectly healthy and happy.

Maybe not happy, but healthy.

Dallin took me to lunch for my birthday. Noelle and Justin came too. Noelle brought me a cupcake and we went to The Bluebird Cafe. We all got the Bluebird Chicken. It was kinda funky, but yummy.

I miss my friends. A LOT.

Then I came home and packed for the weekend and cleaned our room a little bit.

And Britlyn and I talked to Shantel for a little bit.

And we had a funeral for Mr. Dumpy.

♥♥♥

RIP.

That was Friday, April the 6th

p.s. Happy Birthday Rachel Elaine Holland.

Rachel Elaine.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE ENTIRE WORLD!!
I love you Rachel Elaine Holland.

I am so glad that you and I both decided to go away to college. We left our families back home and although we both go home almost every day, it has been so nice to have you here. You are my family away from home and I would die without you.

No one knows me like you do. NO ONE. You understand me and I understand you. We get each other and we love each other. I am so thankful for the friendship that we have and for the way we have been able to stay close friends through all of the crap each of us has been through. I feel like we're even closer now than we ever have been before and I love it! I can tell you anything and I don't have to worry about you judging me or getting mad at me. You are the most kind, considerate, understanding person that I know. I know that if I ever need to talk, I can talk to you and I can trust you to keep my secrets.

You are the definition of a true friend....

Thanks for always being there for me.

I LOVE YOU!

& I hope you had the best birthday EVER.

xoxo

Taco Tuesday

‎"My head says, 'who cares?' But my heart wispers...'you do stupid.'"

Some days are not the greatest days, especially when the heart and the head are bickering. Lucky for me, my head won the bicker battle today!

My heart has been hurting a little bit these last couple of days due to the recent revelation that I received from my dear pal (not so dear not pal-- I feel like Taylor Swift when I use the actual names of stupid boys but I'm not going to use his name right now-- protecting the ignorant). We are no longer friends on the account of he "do[es]n't do buds."

As much as I would love to post our most recent conversation all over my blog, I find it a bit inapropriate to do so on the account that I am unaware of the people who actually read my blog and my blog is available to the public for viewing and I am much too mature to reveal the immature words of my used-to-be-friend all over the entire cyberworld. Meaning: all over MY entire cyberworld.

Anywho...

Today was great!

It was sunny and warm.

I wore my new red hat!

for Androids came out today.

love. ♥

Also, I would have been more than content with my day had I only experienced this.

I do not know who he is or where he is from, but I do know that he decided to dance his little heart out in front of the Education Building for me today. Now, I normally wouldn't be in the Education Building at all on a Tuesday, but I was there today and that is all that really matters. I like this guy. Keep dancing pal, you make people happy! :)

Good day so far, right? Well, it keeps getting better!

After I learned everything there is to know about how awfully out-of-the-loop I am in the world of technology, my dear friends and I went to PHYSICS! In case I haven't mentioned this before, I love Physics. Right now it is possibly my favorite class.

We played with slinkies.

And I snapped this cute picture of Steven Mortensen and I.

The walk home from school was lovely. I traveled with my friends Melanie, Katie and Blake. Blake and I discussed Taco Tuesdays and I expressed my desire to experience a Taco Tuesday because before today I had yet to experience the magnificence of a discounted Cafe Rio Taco. On a Tuesday.

I made it safely home and whipped up a good old Triple Berry Smoothie to drink. I spread some Laughing Cow Cheese on a whole wheat tortilla for myself to eat! Then, my friend Britney and I decided to go steal our spring break pictures from Steph. She wasn't home. That was upsetting, but it was still sunny so the sun took away our sadness. I then dropped Britney off after a few minutes of chatting about the changes that have taken place in our lives since Thursday, which was when I last saw her. Then I went home and I banished myself to my bedroom.

If I don't banish myself to my bedroom, I am sometimes tempted to scream at my roommates. I don't enjoy screaming, therefore I banish myself to my bedroom.

I checked my email before I decided to do anything else and this is what I found!

That is super hard to read. Click on the picture to view the full size image or don't, because I will explain to you what is going on. Recently, I have been having a lot of second thoughts about being an Elementary teacher. I love little kids, but I don't know if working with them would be the best choice of a career for me. So, I have been thinking a lot lately about switching my major to Secondary Education and possibly teaching Physics or English. However, I have been worried that my TH Bell Loan Incentive would be taken away from me since I got the loan to be a Special Education teacher. So, I have been procrastinating my major change for fear of getting all of my money taken away from me. Yesterday, I decided to be brave and email Amy Wilcox who is in charge of the TH Bell funding for Utah State.

Amy,
I am not going to need to use TH Bell for the summer semester but I do have a question for you. I was just wondering if my funds can or will be taken away from me if I change my major from the one that I put on my TH Bell application. For example, switching from Elementary and Special Education to something in Secondary Education?

Thanks

Karlie

Her reply......

No. As long as you stay in a teaching major, you will have the TH Bell.

Thanks

Amy

You can imagine my excitement at this wonderful news! I can switch my major without having to take out a million loans to pay for the next three years of my schooling. Amy Wilcox, you are an answer to my prayers. Thank you.

After an hour or so of updating my blog and doing some homework, I received a text from my dear friend Emily Esplin explaining that Blake told her that I would like to join them for Taco Tuesday! This just added to the greatness of my day! I told Emily that I would be delighted to join her and we arranged a time to eat tacos. 6:30.

Em and I met Blake and his posse at Cafe Rio, which was nice because it gave us some time to talk about girl things. I enjoy spending time with Emily. She is a nice, happy, positive girl with wonderful story telling abilities!

I'm not supposed to eat pork but I got two pork tacos anyway. THEN WE TOOK THEM TO EAT THEM AT FIRST DAM! I must say that it was a brilliant idea considering how beautiful today was. Unfortunately it began to get quite chilly by the time we got to First Dam, but we still had a blast. I made some new friends named Austin, Cam and Jordan. They were already acquainted with Emily and Blake which made it more adventurous for me! They brought a softball with them along with a few mitts. We spent a reasonable amount of time tossing the softball to each other. The boys coached Emily and I in catching and throwing. I never have considered myself sporty nor will I ever consider myself sporty but today, I wasn't a sissy little girl throwing a softball. I threw balls well enough to be caught and I caught the balls that were thrown to me. I feel very accomplished. Thank you 9th grade Recreational Softball..

In the hours following my return home from the softball game at the dam, I have been blogging and doing homework (attempting to). Soon, I think I might go swing in a hammock with a boy [whose name is NOT Bradon. (I haven't decided if I'm sad about that or not yet.. Obviously I am or else I wouldn't even question it. Guess I decided. Sad.).]. Anyway..

Hammock, with boy. :) The stars are supposed to be super great tonight!
